Prior to that:-
I was the Display manager for Kimbolton Fireworks Limited from July 1989 to September 1998 - the largest manufacturer of display fireworks in the UK. Kimbolton Fireworks stage some 200 displays each year, ranging from private functions to large National and International events. In 1991 we won the International Firework Competition at Knokke-Heist (Belgium), and in 1993 were awarded the "Silver Jupiter" at Montreal - the World's largest Firework Competition. In 1995 Kimbolton Fireworks staged the largest firework display ever seen in the UK - for the 50th anniversary of VJ Day (the end of World War II) - on the Thames in London. The display was fired from 5 barges spread from Tower Bridge to Westminster, and was synchronised to 30 minutes of music. Over 1.5million people are estimated to have seen the display from the banks of the Thames.
